Great River NP2 NV  (Updated August 2010)

I've worked with old Neve gear (old consoles) a bit, and the MP2NV is clearly in that family.   Its juicy buy not flimsy, rock solid top to bottom, forgiving on headroom.  Its not as colored as some old 1073's but much more solid feeling without being clinical.  Very, very nice mic pre. Now you can get it in a 500 series format. You could seriously use this for anything, including dynamic mics, and ribbons.  I would be happy to have about 24 channels ... 22 more channels than I have today. t
